Testing your Etisalat connection
This Etisalat speed test measures download, upload, ping and jitter on your e& connection. Run it whenever you feel your eLife line is slower than the plan you pay for.
For the most accurate reading, connect your device to the eLife router with an Ethernet cable and pause large downloads first. Then compare the wired result against Wi-Fi to see how much of the gap is your router rather than the Etisalat line itself.
About the Etisalat network
Etisalat, now branded e&, is a UAE telecom operator. Its home broadband service, eLife, includes fibre and 5G home broadband options; check current availability and terms with the provider.
Available services and connection technology can vary by address. Check the provider directly to confirm the options for your location.

Etisalat eLife plans
eLife 250 Mbps
Comfortable for a small household streaming and browsing.
eLife 500 Mbps
Good headroom for 4K streaming, gaming and video calls at once.
eLife 1 Gbps
For busy homes with many simultaneous heavy users.
5G Home Broadband
Plug-and-play alternative where fibre is unavailable; speed depends on 5G signal.
Use a wired test as a baseline, then compare it with Wi-Fi. Results can vary with device capability, router settings, other activity on the connection and network conditions. If repeated wired tests differ significantly from your plan, contact your provider.

Troubleshooting a slow Etisalat connection
1. Restart the eLife router
Power the router off for 30 seconds and back on. This clears most temporary slowdowns and re-syncs the fibre link.
2. Check the ONT / fibre lights
On the fibre box, the power and internet/PON lights should be steady, not red or blinking. A red light usually means a line fault to report to e&.
3. Test wired before blaming the line
A single Ethernet-connected device isolates the eLife line from Wi-Fi problems. If wired is fine but Wi-Fi is slow, the fix is your router placement or plan, not e&.
4. Check the My Etisalat app
The app shows outages, your active plan speed, and lets you raise a fault ticket. Confirm you are actually subscribed to the speed you expect.
5. Reposition a 5G Home device
If you use 5G Home broadband, place the router near a window facing the nearest tower — 5G speed is far more sensitive to signal than fibre.

Etisalat Speed Test — FAQ
How do I test my Etisalat internet speed?
Connect to your eLife network, press GO on this page, and the test measures your download, upload, ping and jitter. For the cleanest result, use an Ethernet cable and stop other downloads first.
Why is my Etisalat eLife internet slow?
Common causes are Wi-Fi interference, an ageing router, evening peak congestion, or being on a lower plan than you think. Test wired to rule out Wi-Fi; if the wired speed is still far below your plan, raise a ticket in the My Etisalat app.
What speed should I get on Etisalat eLife?
Results vary by device, router, connection activity and network conditions. Compare repeated wired tests with your plan details, and contact e& if you need help reviewing a persistent difference.
Is Etisalat or du faster in the UAE?
Compare the plans, availability and terms offered at your address. Your experience can also vary with equipment, connection activity and network conditions.
